Job Posting: Director of Shared Operations


Location: Colorado Springs, North Academy

Status: Full Time

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage operational support functions including but not limited to; treasury management, debit card and ATM operations, item processing, item capture, hold/dispute management, item presentment, wire transfers, ACH services, Merchant Card services, and other essential functions.
  • Manage Shared operations department and staff for the Bank(s)
  • Manage critical vendor relationships impacting deposit operations. Relationships include but are not limited to item processing, online banking, correspondent banking, card services, core provider,
  • Manage all daily proof and transit, and exception item processing
  • Develops, implements, and maintains bank policies and procedures for bank support operations.
  • Ensures appropriate compliance levels for Dept. legal and regulatory items
  • Work closely with departmental heads and managers from all bank charters and InterBank 1 to set priorities
  • Insure that established department specific and bank-wide service standards are appropriate and being met consistently for the Shared Operations Department
  • Lead related projects drawing in all appropriate stakeholders for effective implementation.
  • Respond to service issues identified in periodically conducted Shared Services Satisfaction Surveys

Education:

  • Bachelors' degree in business related field preferred

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of related experience including 5+ years hands on experience with banking operations
  • At least 3 years supervisory/management experience is required
  • Extensive experience in project management as it relates to installation and/or conversion of bank operations related products and services
  • Extensive experience with core processing requirements and interfacing
  • Excellent knowledge of bank operations and disaster recovery procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of other departments in the bank as they relate to operations
  • Extensive experience with electronic bank operations activities to include FEDLINE remote deposit capture, debit card and ATM, online banking, merchant card and ACH origination.

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of image and proof capture software and hardware
  • Personal computer skills in various software packages, including word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail and banking systems
  • Knowledge of all rules and regulations pertaining to check processing and presentment
  • Knowledge of ACH rules and regulations, including processing requirements
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Complete technical knowledge of departmental responsibilities
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and report on data to management regarding deposit functions
  • Sound judgment, decision making skills and problem solving skills
