Responsibilities and Duties:
\n

The primary role of the Vice President, Director of Secondary Marketing and Capital Markets is to prudently manage net income from sale of mortgage loans to the secondary market and to create and manage all Investor relationships in order to improve sound and profitable operation of the Peoples’ Mortgage Department.

\n

It is the responsibility of the Vice President, Director of Secondary Marketing and Capital Markets (“Director”) to monitor all securities trades, coordinate with dealers and investors on all trade settlements and communicate execution with all internal departments.  In addition, the Director must negotiate and manage master commitments with investors, maintain the business relationships and manage the product development efforts of the Mortgage Department.  The Director is responsible for working closely with the mortgage production managers of Peoples to determine pricing strategy, margin spread and to oversee execution of the Lock Desk.  The Director must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate with all departments within the Mortgage Department the roles and requirements needed to effectively manage a locked pipeline.  In addition, the Director is responsible for the (1) direction and management of all investor and risk management companies and for (2) maintaining sound mortgage loan quality.

• Monitor all securities trades

\n

• Assure compliance with all regulations and policies and maintain safe and sound banking practices

\n

• Research and recommend to CEO, CFO and Board of Directors strategic and tactical changes in mortgage department functions to improve sound and profitable operations

\n

• With CFO, oversee and manage mortgage department liquidity including velocity of sale and funding of loans, identification of alternative funding sources and modeling of future liquidity status

\n

• With CFO, develop and produce weekly and monthly mortgage department financial performance reports including Key Performance and Board reports

\n

• Coordinate with SVP of Mortgage to manage and report sound loan quality and approval of loan underwriting standards

\n

• Negotiate and manage all aspects of investor, broker-dealer and hedge advisor relationships and manage master commitments

\n

• Develop reconciliation process of cash proceeds from investors and identify and resolve discrepancies and recovery of funds as needed

\n

• Coordinate with dealers and investors on all trade settlements and communicate execution with all internal departments

\n

• Conduct daily, weekly and/or monthly meetings with production and operations managers on work flow details, concerns, changes and efficiencies

\n

• Manage product development efforts of Mortgage Department

\n

• In coordination with mortgage production managers, analyze and propose changes as needed to mortgage banker compensation based on hedge costs and profitability

\n

• Work closely with production managers to determine pricing strategy, margin spread and oversee execution of the lock desk

Education:
\n

• College Degree preferred

Experience:
\n

• Ten years of experience in related mortgage and capital markets functions

Skills:

• Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English, both verbally and in written form

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Position takes place in an office environment
